NM: Appointees to Board of Regents of Higher Education

Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 1, by Senators Steinborn and Moores, on the Nominating process for Board of Regents – is a proposed constitutional amendment requiring the nomination of members of the Board of Regents by the governor “from a list provided by a nominating committee” established by statute providing further that the no political party could constitute more than fifty percent of the membership.
